Traineeships

Pursuant to the Regulation on compulsory internship for access to the profession of Labor Consultant, in order to take the State exam for the qualification to practice this profession, it is necessary to first complete an 18-month internship, consisting of period "of training with theoretical and practical content aimed at achieving the skills necessary to practice the profession of Labor Consultant" (art. 1, letter a). Said internship "must be carried out with diligence, assiduity and with a frequency of study suitable to allow the practitioner to acquire all the scientific and technical, ethical and deontological foundations, as well as the methodology and skills, necessary to carry out the freelance profession" (art. 2, co. 7).

Pursuant to art. 9, co. 6, of the Legislative Decree n. 1/2012, converted into Law no. 27/2012, "for the first six months, the internship can be carried out in the presence of a specific framework agreement stipulated between the national councils of the orders and the Minister of Education, University and Research, in conjunction with the course of study to obtain a first level degree or a master's or specialist degree".

In order to allow the early internship to be carried out, the University of Foggia, on 10/18/2016, stipulated an Implementation Agreement of the Framework Agreement with the Order of Labor Consultants of Foggia. For the purposes of implementing the aforementioned Agreement, the Department of Law and the Order of Labor Consultants of Foggia have stipulated an application protocol, by virtue of which a maximum number of 10 students are allowed to carry out six-month internship-practicum work per academic year.

To carry out the internship semester during the last year of the three-year degree course in Labor Consultant and Industrial Relations Expert, students must satisfy the conditions set out in art. 2 of the aforementioned Implementation Agreement, namely:

have taken and passed the 1st and 2nd year exams
have obtained at least 18 CFU in the scientific-disciplinary sectors relating to Area 12 - Legal Sciences (IUS/01 - Private Law, IUS/04 - Commercial Law, IUS/07 - Labor Law, IUS/10 - Administrative Law, IUS/ 12 - Tax Law, IUS/14-European Union Law) and at least 12 ECTS Scientific-disciplinary sectors related to Area 13 – Economic Sciences and Statistics (SECS-P/01 - Political Economy, SECS-P/07 - Economics Corporate, SECS-P/08 - Business Economics and Management, SECS-P/10 - Business Organization).

Students interested in the early internship who meet these requirements must submit a specific request addressed to the Director of the Department of Law by completing and submitting the appropriate form (see attachment) to the Teaching and S.S.P.L. Service. of the Department, within the following terms:

  • from 1st to 10th February, for those who intend to graduate in the autumn session
  • from 1st to 10th June, for those who intend to graduate in the 1st extraordinary session
  • from 1st to 10th July, for those who intend to graduate in the 2nd extraordinary session
  • from November 1st to 10th, for those who intend to graduate in the summer session


Students who have not yet acquired the credits relating to the Business Economics exam (6 credits), in the application, must declare that they acknowledge that passing the aforementioned exam is a condition for the recognition of the early semester of internship by the Order. .

The Teaching and S.S.P.L. Service, having verified the possession of the requirements by the students requesting admission to the internship-practicum, takes care of the transmission of the practice to the Order of Consultants.

N.B. Students admitted to the internship are exempted from carrying out the compulsory training internship (3 credits) foreseen in the third year of the study plan.
