DEPARTMENT COUNCIL
It is made up of the Department's teachers, a representation of the technical-administrative staff and students.
Functions:
- Approves the annual monitoring form and the cyclical review report.
- Approves the corrective and improvement actions proposed by the Board of Directors.
- Approves the resource requirements for the implementation of corrective actions and for the pursuit of teaching quality objectives.
- Adopts every resolution necessary for the proper functioning of the teaching activity of the corresponding curriculum or curricula.
In particular:
- approves the organization and regulations of the study course.
- coordinates the teachings and related programs in order to create coherent training paths.
- annually determines the need for teaching activities and makes the related assignment requests to the department.
- proposes to the competent bodies the possible stipulation of contracts for the carrying out of teaching activities and supplementary teaching activities.
- determines the attendance obligations and the related assessment methods.
- organizes the tutoring service.
- regulates the assessment tests of the preparation achieved by students and designates the relevant commissions.
- decides on requests for shortening of studies presented by students coming from other university courses.
- plans the timetable of lessons and other educational activities annually.
- formulates proposals and expresses opinions in the cases provided for by current legislation.

- Collaborates with the CdS Coordinator in planning the improvement actions contained in the Review Report and approved by the Department Council.
- Intervenes, upon indication of the Board of Directors, to analyze and resolve critical resource issues (teaching and support services).

Within each department, a joint teaching commission is established, as established by the university teaching regulations, made up of teachers and students in equal numbers. It is unique for all the Degree Programs that belong to a Department.
The Commission:
- has the task of monitoring, with specific evaluation indicators, the training offer, the quality of teaching and student service activities.
- formulates opinions on the establishment, activation, modification and suppression of the training offer.
- may submit proposals to the Department Council on issues pertaining to teaching and on the allocation of the financial endowment referred to in the art. 16 paragraph 11 of the University statute.
- draws up an annual report on the teaching activities of the study courses for which the Department is the reference, taking into account the annual self-evaluation report of the respective reference departments of the study courses.
Functions:
The teacher member of the PQA (University Quality Assurance) assumes the function of coordinating the processes necessary for the quality assurance system of the Department's courses.
CDS COORDINATOR
Functions:
He is responsible for the CdS and for planning the improvement actions contained in the Review Report and approved by the Department Council. Ensures the carrying out of the AVA process activities in the ways and times indicated by the PQA for correct compliance with the phases of the process itself.
- Intervenes to analyze and resolve the critical issues of individual teachings together with the teachers involved.
- He intervenes promptly to resolve the critical issues reported to him by the Board of Directors during the academic year.
- He is responsible for drafting the SUA-CdS in all its sections, and the annual monitoring sheet.
- Ensures the transmission of the Review Report to the administrative offices and the PQA, via the University and Department teaching support structures.
- He is the guarantor of the Quality Assurance of the CdS.

QUALITY ASSURANCE GROUP
Composition
Is composed by:
- Coordinator of the CdS
- at least one student from the CdS. The student component of the AiQ (Internal Quality Assurance) must be different from that present in the CPDS (Teachers-Students Joint Teaching Commission) and is designated by the student representatives elected on the Board of Directors.
- by other teachers whose number is at the discretion of the Department Council.
- by at least one member of the technical-administrative staff of the Department relating to the teaching sector.
Functions:
- Guarantees the correct compilation of the SUA-CdS form keeping in mind the information provided in the Review Reports.
- ensures the carrying out of the quality process actions in relation to the definition of the training demand
- provides for the compilation of the annual Monitoring Form and the drafting of the Cyclic Review Report, identifying adequate improvement actions, both on an annual and multi-annual basis, noting:
- the data relating to the results of the teaching activities of the Course
- the opinion sheets of students, graduates, teachers and bodies and companies where students carry out internships or internships
- the implementation of the teaching quality objectives defined by the Governing Bodies
- the suggestions made by the NVA (University Evaluation Unit) and the CPDS (Teacher-Student Joint Teaching Commission)
- verifying the effectiveness of the improvement measures adopted previously.

Each Steering Committee, established at Department level or at CdS level in the case of high disciplinary specificities, is made up of the CoS Coordinator and at least three subjects external to the University, independently identified by the Department and representatives of the economic and social parties at regional, national and international. At least one member of the Steering Committee must be invited during the meetings of the QA group of the Study Course, in particular during the drafting of the review reports. The Steering Committee has a consultative but also planning, control and verification function on aspects relating to:
- the Interested Party (PI) consultation process
- strengthening relationships with PIs
- coordination between the University and the socio-economic system
- improving communication of the University's educational offerings
- the management of information returned from graduates and employers
- the collection of company lists and management of internships
- the proposals for the definition and planning of the training offer
- the proposals for defining learning objectives
